Stock up on a Japanese classic. This bulk pack contains ten 214g bags of Soft Konbu Ame.
Konbu Ame (こんぶ飴) is a soft, chewy Japanese candy made with natural kelp from Hokkaido. It’s made by Naniwa Seika, a candy maker founded in 1927 in Osaka and now based in Gifu, where it has made Soft Konbu Ame since 1960.
The kelp is slowly cooked into the candy with starch syrup and sugar, giving it a mochi-like chew, a gentle sweetness and a faint taste of the sea. It’s a nostalgic flavour many people in Japan grew up with.
Peel the green wrapper, but not the clear film. Each candy comes in a clear edible film (oblaat) made from starch, so you eat it as it is.
